A murder has been committed in a country house, and the floorplan is your only witness. Six suspects stood somewhere in the rooms - exactly one in every row, one in every column, never two in a room - and whoever was in the room with the body is the killer. Read the clues, cross off the squares, and place every suspect to close the case.
We have 5,487 unique cases across five difficulty levels, every one solvable by pure deduction. Play just for fun, or register a free account and compete against other detectives for the monthly competition and the all-time Hall of Fame.
Each case gives you a floorplan: rooms of one or more squares, thick walls with door gaps, a front door and a back door, and the body on one square. The clues describe where the suspects were - which rooms adjoin, how many doors or steps apart people were, whose room was bigger, who was closest to the murder room - and every case has exactly one answer.
On the board, each square shows a small tile per suspect: click a tile to rule that person out of that square, or double-click to place them. Focus on one suspect to cross out many squares at once, and turn on rule assist to have the board apply the row, column and room rules for you. If you get stuck, the hint system explains the next easiest deduction - at a cost of penalty time. See How to Play for the full rules and scoring.
